Laser Light & How it Improves Your Health
Laser Light and Its Healing Properties
Back Care Gold Coast | Osteopath Nerang, Queensland
At Back Care Gold Coast, I'm always looking for ways to help my patients achieve better pain relief and faster recovery. One of the most valuable additions to my practice has been Laser Light Therapy, which has consistently proven to be an excellent tool for managing pain and supporting the body's natural healing processes.
Why Laser Light Therapy Has Become an Important Part of My Practice
- Laser Light Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that helps reduce pain and inflammation.
- Soft tissue— responds positively to Laser, soft tissue makes up approximately 85% of the body's structure, it including muscles, ligaments, tendons, fascia, and connective tissue and internal body organs,— meaning many areas of the body may respond well to this therapy.
- The laser used in my clinic operates at a specific therapeutic frequency designed to help calm irritated sensory nerves and reduce inflammation.
- Many patients experience improved comfort and better pain management when Laser Light Therapy is incorporated into their osteopathic care.
Understanding Your Nervous System
Every spinal nerve leaving the spine contains two important groups of nerve fibres:
- Motor nerves (Control movement in the Body)
- Allow us to walk, lift objects, write, drive a car, and perform everyday activities.
- Sensory nerves (are Sight,Hearing,Touch,Taste &Smell)
- These nerves keep us in touch with the world we live in, ie, Sight Hearing,Smell etc we connect to the outside environment through our sensory nerves
- They carry information from the body back to the brain.
- Sensory nerves extend throughout the body, from the head to the feet.
When sensory nerves become irritated or inflamed, pain and discomfort can develop. Poor sensory nerves can debilitate us. Patients can experience sensory overload (overactive). With Hearing there are people cannot cope with loud noises, busses, trucks, motorbikes. Also with vision, patients are unable to cope with Fleuro's lighting, or have other visual issues. Again these can create sensory overload, and the body becomes stressed. The Laser Light Therapy used at Back Care Gold Coast is designed to help reduce inflammation and help these sensory nerves, supporting the body's healing response.
Quantum Neurology® and Laser Therapy
- As an Osteopath, I also incorporate principles of Quantum Neurology® into my treatment approach.
- This technique uses specific neurological testing together with therapeutic laser application to support both Motor & Sensory nerves making a healthier functioning nervous System.
- Combining Laser Light Therapy with osteopathic treatment provides another option for improving pain management, and helping patients return to normal activities sooner.
